One of the recurring themes of the personal development world is that if you change your thinking you will change your life. I am comfortable with that because that seems pretty Biblical. One of the contentions that I have read on more than one occasion is that you need to change your thinking from employee to self employed even if you work for a company. The idea is that by change my thinking to I work for myself it will make a huge productivity jump for the average person. But I think they miss a step that shoots us even higher. Even more than working for our self, the Bible reminds us that no matter our employment situation, including unemployment, we work for the Lord. We work hard because we work for the King, but we also continue to listen to Him while we work for ongoing direction. I believe this can be a small change that helps me stay on track. It also helps me take time off, because the Boss tells me to do that too. Change your thinking and change your life!
