In the day we live in we can feel a pressure to consume everything and be everything to everyone else. What if we looked at this a little difference:
How to build a foundation for audacious/sun stand still kind of prayer
I love seeing God do miracles. Would you like to see more of them in your life? Recently I heard a message on the great account in Joshua chapter 10 where Joshua prayed and the sun stood still. My friend who was speaking shared that one of the reasons that Joshua could pray in confidence for such a huge prayer was a promise of victory God had given before the battle.
As Mark Batterson says, “We underestimate how much spiritual authority we have when we pray in accordance with the will of God.” I am in the very early stages of writing a book on spiritual warfare, but already one of my favorite verses is 1 Timothy 1:18 (ESV). It reads, “This charge I entrust to you Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.” Paul is saying that Timothy is able to use the prophecies (and by extension promises) as he fights the warfare of his faith.
What has God promised you that can become a basis for audacious prayer? Abraham used this when he needed to exercise faith in the seeming impossible. “No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.” (Romans 4:20-21 ESV)
I mentioned previously that God is stretching my faith to at least try launching a podcast as a ministry. The more He speaks to me about it the more I have confidence to pray in faith and take first steps in the process. I don’t know how He is going to make it happen, but then again I don’t know how He made the sun stand still as well. Let’s be a people to ask big of the Lord when He gives us promises to stand upon.
The guide to how I process the voice of God-My podcast story
I have been thinking about starting a podcast for a long time. Looking at my notes today the idea goes back over 5 years ago. Now I am beginning to think more in-depth if God wants me to start one and if now is the time. If you are trying to discern what God is saying to you I hope that me sharing my process and story will be helpful for you. To be completely vulnerable with you, I am still in the process on this decision but that is why I hope that “opening the box” so to speak will be helpful to you as you try and follow Jesus as well.

How to Pray the Lord’s Prayer (A Model Prayer)
Jesus made prayer so simple for anyone to engage into conversation with God. Here I break down Jesus’ teaching in what is called the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13. Enjoy your conversation with God!
In the video I mention a book that I read when I was 13 years old. It is The Hour That Changes The World By Dick Eastman.

My fun “Bucket List” speaking challenge
I am a guy who likes a good challenge. Over the years my wife and I have come up with all sorts of challenges/games to play play with just us three or with her family as well. We have had challenges about health, book reading, and getting pictures with strangers. If you have ever read the Strength Finders book one of my top strengths is achiever so challenges play to my strength.
The other day I realized that when I speak in Alabama next month I will have spoken in 20 states here in the USA. As I was thinking about it I realized that there is a year and a half till 1/1/2020. So the challenge struck me, “How many states that I have not spoken in could I speak in before 2020 gets here?” So I am going to give it a try!
