My goal with this podcast is to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus. So I thought I would try an experiment with this episode to see if it would be helpful to you. Even for those who have been around church for a while certain parts of the Bible can feel intimidating. But if the Bible is one of our main ways to encounter God I don’t want you to stay away from it simply because it feels too hard. So I thought I would see if we could tackle one of the difficult books of the Bible and give you some confidence. To help me with that I am joined by my friend Dr. Rick Wadholm.
Rick is married (Jenn) and has four children. Rick has pastored several rural congregations in ND and MN for 14 years and is ordained with the Assemblies of God (USA). He is a regular speaker for churches, camps and conferences. He enjoys reading and discussing theology and Biblical Studies, most particularly the works of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Karl Barth.
Rick is an active member of the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies, the International Bonhoeffer Society, Pentecostals and Charismatics for Peace and Justice, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the Society for Pentecostal Studies. He has helped found the Society for Pentecostal Studies Student Caucus (and currently serves as Chair).
