Sometimes people feel intimidated by the idea of praying for someone in person. If you are a follower of Jesus it doesn’t need to be. In this simple video I will show you a strategy that you can use to feel comfortable stepping out and praying. (If you are a pastor or small group leader feel free to share this with your church or group)

How to build a foundation for audacious/sun stand still kind of prayer
I love seeing God do miracles. Would you like to see more of them in your life? Recently I heard a message on the great account in Joshua chapter 10 where Joshua prayed and the sun stood still. My friend who was speaking shared that one of the reasons that Joshua could pray in confidence for such a huge prayer was a promise of victory God had given before the battle.
As Mark Batterson says, “We underestimate how much spiritual authority we have when we pray in accordance with the will of God.” I am in the very early stages of writing a book on spiritual warfare, but already one of my favorite verses is 1 Timothy 1:18 (ESV). It reads, “This charge I entrust to you Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.” Paul is saying that Timothy is able to use the prophecies (and by extension promises) as he fights the warfare of his faith.
What has God promised you that can become a basis for audacious prayer? Abraham used this when he needed to exercise faith in the seeming impossible. “No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.” (Romans 4:20-21 ESV)
I mentioned previously that God is stretching my faith to at least try launching a podcast as a ministry. The more He speaks to me about it the more I have confidence to pray in faith and take first steps in the process. I don’t know how He is going to make it happen, but then again I don’t know how He made the sun stand still as well. Let’s be a people to ask big of the Lord when He gives us promises to stand upon.
